Usher wants to make sure his fans understand he didn’t bail on the One Love Manchester concert.
He says it's not that didn't want to be there, but he was never scheduled to be there in-person to begin with. A mistake was made when a U.K. publicist announced David Beckham and Usher would be “making appearances.” Originally, Usher planned on making a pre-taped video which still wound up airing.
Usher wasn’t able to particapte in-person because he wanted to be there for his son’s first day at a camp for kids with diabetes, calling it “an important day for him and for myself as a proud father."
He sent his condolences and love in a personal video.
