This summer, you’ll be able to get a little taste of the weekend before it even begins!
Saturday Night Live announced today that its news segment “Weekend Update” will air four half-hour shows Thursday nights in August. The episodes premiere on Aug. 10 at 9 p.m.
It’s not the first time that Weekend Update aired at a time other than Saturday nights. Back in 2008, three specials aired, and this occurred again. The show’s hosts, Colin Jost and Michael Che, have already strayed from their segment, making appearances on MSNBC during the Democratic and Republican National Conventions.
SNL is usually on hiatus during the summer season, so it will be nice to have a little taste of the show before Season 43 begins in the fall!
