Vegan recipes, food trucks and blogs have been popping up everywhere I turn. Instead of ignoring them, this carnivore has decided to embrace them. I'm not ready to try an all plant based diet or go gluten free, but I am open to trying anything once and I decided to discover these finds a little more.
There is a big misconception that Vegan food is tasteless and not filling. I'm here to say as a non-vegan that I've sampled here an there to find that's not always the case.Check out these Vegan Food Finds that have sprouted into my life...

YU - Yum Universe is a blog turned website supporting a healthy lifestyle free of anything you choose. The site offers free recipes, informative pieces on how to incorporate healthier alternatives in herbivore/omnivore households, glossary where you can look up those "shi shi" terms and ingredients you've only spotted at Whole Foods. If you're looking to make the lifestyle switch, YU has membership plans that will help you through the change.

Native Foods - "What are you going to eat today?" The question that haunts most of us with basic kitchen skills and bare refrigerators. Native Foods has a couple of locations in LA and several more in the surrounding areas serving beautiful dishes that not only look good, but taste good too. Earth Bowls, Nuevo Native Nachos, Scorpion Burger, lavender lemonade, OC Raw Chopper and more are all vegan and waiting for you to give them a try. They even have kid options.

Seabirds Truck - I found the Seabirds truck on the Cooking Channel and followed them on Twitter before the show was over. They are on my "To Try" list and serve organic plant-based food. Their Beer Battered Avocado tacos were just one of the dishes showcased on the show and they looked amazing.
